Final stage
This was what the doc told me a week ago.
I remained calm, mixed with sadness and painfulness.
It happened so fast, without any signal.
Lost in my journey, again!

Investors are worry that the financial crisis is spinning so far out of control.
American Federal Reserve has stepped in with an emergency loan to keep American International Group Inc, one of the world's largest insurers, from going under.
Market has predicted that the well-known investment house, Lehman Brothers, would be forced to file for bankruptcy.
Who will be the next to falter?
For sure, the impacts to the global economy would be tremendous and unstoppable.

As reported by local daily news, Abdullah was not satisfied and wanted immediate improvements to be made.
This is what the people are asking for: a truly concern on their problems and solution for it.

Tackle the economic slowdown
Malaysia's Minister for International Trade and Industry Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said that in a democratic system, we have to accept the decision of the people (after the March 8 election), and Anwar Ibrahim will have to respect that.
He reiterated, "If he (Anwar) wants to be Prime Minister, he should wait another four years for the next elections."
I totally agree with his statement.
Malaysia's politicians, both from ruling party and opposition, should be more serious in dealing with the issue of managing Malaysia's economy, which is going to be the most severe downturn in decades.
Politician should maximise the people's interests, not their own political interests.

The most important election
Malaysia's Election Commission has announced August 16 as nomination day and August 26 as polling day for the Permatang Pauh parliamentary constituency by-election.
Three-term MP Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail quit the seat last week to give her husband Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim an opportunity to enter Parliament as sodomy charges loom.
It is the most important election to Malaysia.
The whole world is watching.

The politician i respect
The president of Parti Keadilan Rakyat, Malaysia leading opposition party, Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail is one of the politicians that i respect.
She has finally vacated her Permatang Pauh parliamentary seat to pave way for her husband, Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim, to contest in a by-election.
It is not an easy job for her to face all the political struggles after the arrest of her husband, who was No.2 man in Malaysia, in 1998.
She then formed the Parti Keadilan Rakyat in 1999, and won the Permatang Pauh parliamentary seat in 1999, 2004 and 2008.
I respect her political courage and fighting spirit in forming and leading political movement.
A soft mother with tough fighting spirit.

National interests come first
Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has indicated that he would announce his plan to run for Parliament soon.
By that time, he would also announce the Barisan Nasional MPs from Sabah and Sarawak who would join Pakatan Rakyat, and forming the government on Sept 16, the Malaysia Day.
Well, the game of politics always teaches people to accept the realities of political life. In politics, politicians should learn how to compromise and accept partial defeat.
Politician should accept the March 8 election results, and work together for the interest of the nation.

No panadol
The doctors used to tell us that whenever they have a headache, they are not willing to take PANADOL (PARACETAMOL).
This is because Panadol is toxic to the body, and it harms the liver.
Panadol will reside in the body for at least 5 years.
Whenever we have a headache, that's because it is due to the electron/Ion imbalance in the brain.
As an alternative solution to cope with this matter, we can drink 1 or 2 cans of isotonic drink, and mix it with drinking water according to a ratio of 1:1 or 1:2.
Another method will be to submerge your feet in a basin of warm water so that it bring the blood pressure down from your throbbing head.
Still on racial politics
The spiritual leader of the opposition PAS, Datuk Nik Abdul Aziz, was urging a merger of his party and the ruling UMNO to defend "the Malay race and Islam" from the political challenge of secular ideologies.
Undoubtedly, there are contradictions and conflicts between PAS and Pakatan Rakyat on certain political ideologies.
I am not surprise with this latest political drama because Malaysia's politicians are always playing on communal politics.
Bi-partisan system is still too far to be materialised.

Economic advisor
It is great to hear that Malaysia's government is looking at the possibilities to form a council of economic advisors to help it come up with strategies to cope with the current economic slowdown caused by slowing global economy, rising fuel prices and inflation.
For the past 5 months, Malaysia politicians were too busy with unnecessary political drama while the people were struggling with the effects of price hike in fuel and commodities.
People are getting upset with the inconsistency policies in tackling the economic crisis.
The government should tell people the actual situation, the real picture of Malaysian economy, so that the people know where they are heading for.
People's faith in the government is what the ruling government has to generate now.

Kung Fu Panda
My two little sons and I like 'Kung Fu Panda' movie very much, and have watched it for more than 10 times.
This American animated film talked about a panda, named 'Po' who love 'Kung Fu' and saves the world by some unexpected skills and talents.
My other concern is why the Western filmmakers able to use Chinese themes to create such an excited and entertaining animated movie but not the Chinese?
Economic Freedom
In 2008, Malaysia's economy is 64.5 percent free, which makes it the world's 51st freest economy.

'No-confidence' motion under wrong Standing Order
Speaker to the House of Representative of Malaysian Parliament, Pandikar Amin Mulia disallowed a 'no-confidence' debate against Malaysian Prime Minister Abdullah Badawi, on the ground that the motion asked for a resolution, and that did not fall under Standing Order 18(1) in which it was filed under.
The emergency motion was filed under Standing Order 18(1) by opposition leader Dr Wan Azizah on last Friday. Under Standing Order 18, the motion only allow for debates and not for resolution.
It is upset to see the opposition party has filed the motion under the wrong Standing Order even though they have few very good lawmakers in the House.
Currently, people are more concern about the issues of fuel price hike and the mid-term review of the 9th Malaysian Plan. Sincerely hope that all the lawmakers will able to contribute to the betterment of the society, and not trying to be the 'best actor', 'best actress' or 'best director' of the unnecessary political drama.
Stop unnecessary political drama
It is so sad to see that Malaysian have to struggle with economic uncertainty, and at the same time to face with the unusual political chaos.
Nowadays, Malaysian politicians are more interested in strategising political moves in order to bring down their opponents. However, ordinary people perceive this as useless unless it can help them to overcome the poor economic performance.
People are really suffering. They are more concern about their limited earning and rising living expenses due to fuel and commodities price hikes.
Who will be the premier? Which party will lead the government? These questions are less important now because people want to know how government can generate new strategies for them to survive in this economy, which getting worse after general election in March 8, 2008.
I am more happy with Mahathir's premiership because during his time, Malaysian political system was stable and economic performance was good. It is undoubtedly to have a lot of negative comments on his 'iron rule', but Mahathir is successful in making people feel comfortable with their earning and living. That is one of the most important political input to ensure continuous support from the people.
Malaysian politicians should stop to create unnecessary political drama. There are a lot of jobs to be done in tackling the poor economic performance.

Step down vs. vote of no-confidence
Malaysian premier Abdullah Badawi had confirmed to step down and succeed by his deputy Najib Razak in June 2010.
The announcement of Abdullah's decision was coincided with the 'no-confidence vote' against his premiership proposed by Pakatan Rakyat, the opposition party, in the lower house of Parliament.
People are curious whether this succession plan will be materialised by looking at the current political turmoil. The successful rate is 50:50.

Bi-monthly salary plan dropped
Malaysian government has finally dropped the decision of bi-monthly salary pays system, which tabled in the last 3 weeks.
As mentioned earlier in my blog, this policy is not practical because majority civil servants already committed to so many financial commitments, especially housing and car loans. Bi-monthly salary pays would definitely worsen their financial management. Besides, it also produces extra workloads to the treasury departments.
Why government's decision keep on changing?

A turbulent political episode
Malaysian politics is getting interesting.
Last weekend, everyone was shocked to know that one of Anwar's top aides Saiful lodged a police report claiming that he was sodomised by Anwar, the most powerful Opposition leader in Malaysia.
Incident followed by Anwar's claim that his life is in danger and seeking 'protection' from Turkish Embassy in Kuala Lumpur.
After three top ministers had assured his safety, Anwar had announced that he would contest in the by-election this week.
This is top political games, and is getting interesting to see how the people react.

Freedom of press vs freedom of move
Why Parliament officials so scare of media who work so hard to cover the Parliament sitting? Why limit media moving spaces since our premier keep on emphasizing the importance of press freedom? Media are not terrorist nor animal!
Please respect their freedom. After all they are the only channel your MPs get the publicity in Parliament.

All about 20% oil royalties
SAPP gave four reasons for backing the no-confidence vote against the premiership of Abdullah Badawi:
- No concrete actions have been taken on the issue of illegal immigrants in Sabah;
- Sabah, being the poorest state, is greatly burdened by the sharp hike in petrol prices. The government has failed to provide "holistic economic solutions";
- SAPP Member of Parliament would fail in their role as elected representatives as issues raised such as poor delivery systems, corruption, wastage of resources, lack of transparency and no sense of accountability are ignored; &
- People have lost confidence in the leadership of Abdullah. SAPP is of the opinion that if the top leadership can't perform, then Abdullah should make way for other able leader to take over.

Rise or shrink?
Wanita Umno chief Tan Sri Rafidah Aziz said she would defend her post if she received enough nominations for the party election in December 2008. According to the statement addressed to the press, she still feel that the members want her to serve the party.
If everyone share the same feeling, the next generation will not join the front because of no grooming.
I always believe that it is easier to rise than to shrink.

Public transport system
This is not the first time such suggestion being announced. But, until today the citizen still prefer to use their own vehicle due to inefficiency in public transport system. So, act fast and let's see the outcome. People is paying more and more for the miles and it is really painful.
Fuel subsidy rebates in 3 minutes?
The outcome will be known very soon...Malaysian is watching.
