Landslide vote

Malaysian opposition leader Dato Sri Anwar Ibrahim has won a landslide victory in Pematang Pauh Parliamentary by-election on 26 August.

He returns to Malaysian Parliament with 31,195 votes out of 47,000 votes.

This is a political comeback with a lot of expectation from the people.

Lead by example

I was happy to hear that Malaysia's premier, Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi took rides on the commuter and LRT rail services from Serdang to the city centre to get a feel of the transport problems.

As reported by local daily news, Abdullah was not satisfied and wanted immediate improvements to be made.

This is what the people are asking for: a truly concern on their problems and solution for it.

Fastest man on earth

Jamaica's Usian Bolt winning the men's 200m final of the athletics competition at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games with 19.30 seconds, breaking the world record set by the American Michael Johnson at the 1996 Atlanta Games.

He is the fastest man on earth.

人生七部曲

手讯传来有趣的人生七部曲:
   小时候胡言乱语
   恋爱前花言巧语
   恋爱后甜言蜜语
   结婚前千言万语
   结婚后三言两语
   生子后无言无语
   年老后自言自语

Happy in life

Good thought from friend:
Life laughs at you when you are unhappy,
Life smiles at you when you are happy, &
Life salutes you when you make others happy.

Tackle the economic slowdown

Malaysia's Minister for International Trade and Industry Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said that in a democratic system, we have to accept the decision of the people (after the March 8 election), and Anwar Ibrahim will have to respect that.

He reiterated, "If he (Anwar) wants to be Prime Minister, he should wait another four years for the next elections."

I totally agree with his statement.

Malaysia's politicians, both from ruling party and opposition, should be more serious in dealing with the issue of managing Malaysia's economy, which is going to be the most severe downturn in decades.

Politician should maximise the people's interests, not their own political interests.

The most important election

Malaysia's Election Commission has announced August 16 as nomination day and August 26 as polling day for the Permatang Pauh parliamentary constituency by-election.

Three-term MP Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail quit the seat last week to give her husband Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim an opportunity to enter Parliament as sodomy charges loom.

It is the most important election to Malaysia.

The whole world is watching.

The politician i respect

The president of Parti Keadilan Rakyat, Malaysia leading opposition party, Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail is one of the politicians that i respect.

She has finally vacated her Permatang Pauh parliamentary seat to pave way for her husband, Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim, to contest in a by-election.

It is not an easy job for her to face all the political struggles after the arrest of her husband, who was No.2 man in Malaysia, in 1998.

She then formed the Parti Keadilan Rakyat in 1999, and won the Permatang Pauh parliamentary seat in 1999, 2004 and 2008.

I respect her political courage and fighting spirit in forming and leading political movement.

A soft mother with tough fighting spirit.
