MCA central delegates had rejected their top two leaders, Ong and Dr Chua, as president and deputy president respectively on today's dramatic extraordinary general meeting (EGM).
It was not a surprising result since the "third force" had officially emerged prior to the EGM, and substantially influenced delegates' voting trends.
As I stated before, the decision of the presidential council to sack Dr Chua was a big mistake, and today, MCA, sepcially Ong, had to pay the price for an unnecessary political move.
Nonetheless, I still believe that MCA, under the new and cleaner leadership, would be able to regain political momentum if they really moving towards political reform before the next general election.
